BMS iCharger

With this charger you have the possibility to take your application to a new level. In combination with the adjustable parameters you are able to charge your energy storage to 100% faster. By connecting to our BMS, the single cell voltage and the temperature are always monitored during charging, which at set threshold values either limits the current or interrupts charging for a short time to ensure the fastest possible balancing of the cells. If the communication to one of our cell-balancing units should be interrupted, the charging is immediately interrupted for safety reasons in order to prevent damage to the energy storage. The charger has a relay contact (Normaly Close), which is open during charging and closed when no voltage is applied. This can be used, for example, in an electric vehicle to ensure that the vehicle cannot be driven when the charging plug is plugged in, but you can also use this charger without our BMS, as charging can be interrupted via a start/stop contact.

Use of a battery charger of the type specified in the Declaration of Conformity with Reg. No. T185001901 in motor vehicles.

Electrical components installed in motor vehicles are subject to the EU Directive 2004/104/EG (EMC of motor vehicles). The present assembly, a charger for charging the traction battery, is an ESA according to the present standard 2004/104/EC. Accordingly, the device is to be classified under the heading “Use by technical means limited to the stationary vehicle” listed on page 19 of Section 3.2.1 “Applicability of this Directive to ESA”, since it can only perform a function during standstill and 2004/104/EG when connected to an external power supply system. In this case, the device is subject to EN 2004/108/EG, which is documented by the submitted CE declaration. During operation, the device is completely disconnected from the vehicle electrical system by protective contacts and has no function. Therefore, 2004/104/EG does not apply.
